Notes to self. part 2

November 16, 2007 :: Ramblings :: No Comments

1. People drive slower in the cold, especially around Bristol - Leave 20 mins earlier.
2. Buy more coffee.
3. Give money to Children in Need. Sadly I am not a child, nor “in need”. I just act like a child and am in need of a good kicking.

Notes to self

November 15, 2007 :: Ramblings :: No Comments

1. Remember to move car seat from my car to Abi’s so they are not stuck in the house all day
2. The car will be frosty in the morning - leave 10 minutes earlier to defrost while changing seat
3. Be good, Christmas is approaching and Santa knows who’s been good and bad
4. Complete and post some legal paperwork
5. Buy Alcohol for the weekend

I posted this on my site, because while they are the 5 most important rules I live by, they also apply to YOU. Follow these and you will find true enlightenment. Ignore my wise words and YOU WILL DIE.

Phoebe’s 2!

November 4, 2007 :: Ramblings :: No Comments

Back from a long day shopping, I bought a little for myself but the main reason was to get something for my Phoebe….

It has just gone midnight in England, but where I am it is still the 3rd of November, and today was my baby girls 2nd birthday. Most people would say that I am a complete arsehole for travelling thousands of miles over the Atlantic, galavanting about on some business trip and completely miss her big day and party.

They would be entirely correct. This is a fine example of bad parenting. Do not do as I do! Luckily for Phoebe she has the best mummy in the world, and the rest of our family and frends are not bad either - they all made more of an effort to be with her today than I did.

On the upside, good relations have been made with nice people here. Business made and I am sure there is strong possibilty of other business opportunties as a direct result of this.

I will be returning, and definitely with the family. In fact, I could argue that really what I was doing was simply “testing” Florida to ensure it is of a suitable quality for my upper class family. I think it will suffice.

Orlando Biz Trip

November 3, 2007 :: Business Trips :: No Comments

Here I am in Orlando - the reason was to do some business - which is done. I had an invitation to both New York and Atlanta to do further business, however sadly my flight home does not leave enough time for either.

I must admit I prefer the way busness is done out here, seems to be more laid back, more focused on having fun - for example I cannot remember the last time I was taken to a steakhouse/lap dancing club for dinner by anyone I have done business with in England!
To some extent things are getting more relaxed in the UK, more entrepreneurs about and more people working from home and earning from the internet. However, we are still a long way behind these chaps.

Now I need to find something to do, while the theme parks are appealing, I do not think that it is something one should do by oneself! Time to hit a Mall then, and probably to get ripped off by a cabby to get there too.

Peace brothers.
