In October 1999 Tim went to Exeter university to study Maths and stayed for 3 years - but never graduated. Within days of arriving he was having the time of my life. Non stop partying meant took priority over interest in his course. Tim sometimes will use the excuse that he did attempt to change course but was refused because of his grades. In reality it would have made no difference.
The 3 years were not completely wasted - between terms Tim usually held down 2 jobs - An office by day and as a barman by night. Both proved useful, giving experience within office environment and more importantly learning how to make cocktails! It also usefully funded his expensive student lifestyle.
First year exams came, and Tim unsuprisingly failed, forcing him to resit the entire year before passing the second time round. One year later on nothing had changed, 3 years “wasted” and no hope of making it through to the final year. Tim opted to leave before he was given no alternative. Tim had no qualifications, an abused liver and was hugely in DEBT. Suddenly the future was not looking as clear as it had done a few years before.
