A few months after leaving university Tim’s experience of working with computers helped to land a job as ‘IT Manager’. Sadly this was not much more than a glorified title for a position in a family run damage restoration company. Involved in all aspects of the business - IT usually being one of the last. On one occasion there was even an incident Tim had to attend at a flooded morgue, not actually as bad as it sounds!!
After little more than 12 months of being involved in IT, sales, training and manual labour the company was experiencing a few problems after a fraudulent accountant took huge sums of money and disappeared. Tim being the fool that he is believed he could have done more himself if he were running the company (and any other company in the world!), and as they had no clear position for Tim any longer and needed to save some money, poof, under a cloud of smoke he was gone.
During my last few months there Tim had been having his doubts and had started looking for business opportunities of his own. Being in charge of the company website meant Tim a little experience in web development. He registered domains with the intention of setting up some sort of dating/adult dating and adult toy web sites, but a lack of knowledge meant these sat dormant and with no free time nothing much came of these… yet.
